Poorboy's Users question

I am about to order the line of SSR products from Poorboys with their holiday special on the line of SSR. Can someone who has these products explain the difference between SSR 1,2,2.5 &3 and how you user them.

Thanks

SSR3 is PB's most abrasive product. Works best with a rotary buffer, but can be used with a PC.

SSR2.5 is similar to DACP in abrasiveness. This one works extremely well with a PC or rotary.

SSR2 is a bit more abrasive than Meguiar's #9. Works well with a PC, or by hand.

SSR1 seems to be a bit less abrasive than #9. More of a final polish. Also works well with a PC, or by hand.

With all of the PB's SSR polishes, you work them until they are almost gone............... and then wipe off excess. They all break down fairly quickly if used correctly.

i had tried using poorboys ssr2 to remove swirls, and kept getting no results. But then I tried something I hadnt tried before. I worked it like normal with the rotary, and then when it started to dry I backed off some pressure from the machine and lightly ran it back and forth until it was almost gone. That was the trick! Now I can knock those swirls out in one shot, and then finish it off with a pc or by hand using klasse aio. Poorboys products are very efficient, in the idea that they don't spend lots of money in some massive advertising campaign, and expensive labeling and packaging. No, they are bottled and labled simply and helps keep the cost down, leaving more room for quality improvement on the product without passing the cost on to us, the consumer. I like em. plain and simple. ex-p is my sealant that I rely on, of course it goes on top of aio and is followed by p21s after the ex-p, but thats another story. LOL

i haven't used ssr3 but pretty much what white_f150 said. to add, in my experience, sometimes i was able to work ssr 2.5 well enough that i could go straight to my LSP. sometimes i had some hazing and would have to follow up with ssr 1. but they're pretty easy polishes to work with and do a good job.

SSR 2.5 works extremely well with a PC. If you are working by hand use #1 or possibly #2 on a lighter colored car. The more abrasive ones will cause marring if used by hand.

I look forward to getting the products, I also got some S&W and some of the interior dressing. It really is a great brand and the waxes are great for me since I do alot of mobile detailing outside.

I wonder how similar PwC and SSR1 are, if the have the same kind of action?
