Poorboys SSR2.5

Today I finally got the chance to detail my black '98 F-150. I last did a full exterior detail back in August and I just wasn't happy with the results. My truck was swirl city and the black looked faded. I had used PB SSR2 with a cutting pad followed up with SSR1 but the swirls just weren't going away. I decided to leave it alone for a while and just wash and wax with NXT until I was able to get my hands on SSR2.5. I got some for Xmas and today I was able to use it. It was over 60 degrees today so it was a great day to detail. I am very impressed with the 2.5. The swirls came out but there are sitll some scratches which is expected since the paint is 8 years old. I used it with a PC and polishing pad at speeds 3-4-5 and went over a couple places a few times. You can see the results in my other post.

F-150 detail

I am so thrilled right now. I also used Natty's Blue for the first time. The stuff is awesome. Once the temp. dropped and it got dark, I pulled my truck into the garage and put down the garage door. While I was adding the second coat of Natty's Blue, my dad came out into the garage and was like, "Whats that smell?...it smells like bubble gum or something!" He preceded to pick up the jar of Blue and smelled it. He was surprised the wax smelled so good. It was pretty funny that he could smell the wax throughout the entire garage. Anyways, thats just my little story about how much I am impressed with 2.5 and Natty's Blue. Poorboys ROCKS!

Glad you were able to improve the truck to your liking. Also don't be afraid to turn up the PC to 5.5-6 ..these are the speeds where SSR2.5 really starts to work best with a PC. A few more passes the next time you do a full detail and more of the defects and swirls will be eliminated. Maybe now your dad will join in on the waxing since he can see that these are not the same paste waxes he used to curse at:lol
