Poorboy's Spray & Wipe Delivers!

How are you guys using this product? I bought some last year but I only used it a few times because I always get streaking.
 
I have used PB's Spray & Wipe in direct sun, in the shade, hot weather, cold weather and have not experienced streaking on paint or glass. I have used it straight out of the bottle as shipped by Steve, and various dilution ratios with distilled water and with Mother's Showtime. The majority of the time, I use MicrofiberTech's Ultra and Elite MF towels for wiping down.



Are you using a MF towel product? Do you see streaking while using it as a "bucketless" wash or as a QD?
 
One of the features I love about S&W is the fact that when used as a light cleaner one just bearly touch the painted surface with the MF and wipe. This has never lead to streaking for me. The residual just seems to disappear (evaporate).

Streaking could be caused by a need to wax. This is an indicator for many QD's. :nixweiss

I use Poorboy's terry constructed MF for this job. Absorbent but extremely soft. Wash after wash after wash. :xyxthumbs
 
Can you safely use the S&W product with a Zaino'ed (Dawn, Clay, Dawn, Z7, ZFX + Z2, Z6, etc) car to do touchup in between full Z7 washes ?

rajs, I use it that way on my Zaino car -- and especially for birdbombs -- and do not see/feel any effect on the Zaino. When you read about what it takes to remove Z, it seems pretty clear that S&W wouldn't be strong enough for the job. But that's just based on my hunch and observation, not on any science.

I never had any streaking and use it like the others have mentioned, in all conditions and straight from the bottle (or even diluted with other qd). Try buffing with a clean mf afterwards:nixweiss .
 
EX has carnuba in it. Spray & Wipe works anywhere. At least that's been my experience. Believe me.....if you try it you're going to like it and will find it NECESSARY to buy a gallon. It's just great stuff.
 
What is S&W anyway? Is it a QD? Is it a carwash? Why do some people follow S&W with a QD?



Maybe another way to ask the question: how is it different from the old standard QD Meg's Final Inspection?
 
Spray & Wipe is a waterless car wash. It contains no wax. You would use it to clean up a car too dirty for a QD. I always follow up S&W with a round of Quik Shine.
 
I've been working on getting several coats of KSG on my wife's silver Cadie which sits under our carport when she is out of town. Between coats of KSG I've been using a modified version of the Autopia 5 Minute detail instead of a full wash to rid the surface of lite dust.



I add about a 2 or 3 ozs of S&W to a about a gallon of water in a small bucket. I then soak one towel and wring it out and lightly pull it across the car to wipe off any dust. I do one section at a time rinsing the MF after each section. Then I use the dry MF to dry. Seems to work great with no marring.
