Poorboys Spray and Wipe gives shine?!?

There is no cure!
:punk: :punk: :punk: :punk: I know the benefit to S&W is its cleaning ability and for shine/gloss goes to Spray and Gloss. But after washing I see the paint sort of "crisp". And when i give it a quick shot of S&W the paint isn't as clear on reflections, but definately looks darker!

Doesn't S&W "clean up" the wax or sealant making it a uniform layer again which makes the appearance difference or is that with QD's? I don't know but thats a cool finding especially if it is noticable. Or maybe something in the wash left something on the finish and the S&W removed that? Cool findings though! :bigups to S&W

Nope. I dried the car with a WaterMagnet. Then went for a drive. Got some light dusting on the lower panels and used some spray and wipe. The difference was soo noticeable I went ahead and qd'd the whole car with Spray and Wipe.

Like I said. It took away some of the clarity but gave it depth and looked much darker.

I love the S & W. If you havent tried the S & G after polishing or after using the S & W give it a try it adds a real pop to the paint and slickness to the surface. If you try the S & G and dont like it, i'll buy it from you and at the price you paid.

I've used spray and gloss before. Its just I've never taken notice to Spray and Wipe's appearance. I always followed it with something.

Exactly. Alot of times I use the S&W when I get home from work and usually follow it up with QW+.
I have a bottle of S&G, I've found it leaves a great shine,, but it also seems to attract alot of dust and such. Now I have a black car and I seem to have the opposite affect when I use QW+. Anyone else ever notice that?

Wouldn't the light dusting have an effect in the clarity/reflection/depth of the car?

A clean surface from S&W would make the car look better in regards to every characteristic.

I absolutely love S&W :bigups

I use it for cleaning up light dust and as a QD after a hand wash. My car stays pretty clean because its hardly driven and kept in a garage so its great for me to use between washes. I plan on sealing my paint with EX-P soon and I dont plan to top it with a carnuba.

Although the S&W has been working great for me thus far, Ive never used S&G before I was wondering if you guys thought that it would be a good product for me?

I would mainly use it for a QD before I take my car out for a cruise and for a quick shine while at the local car shows.

Yeah, S&G would be a nice product to have in the arsenal. To me, it seems to leave a little more shine behind than S&W, which in my experience, leaves little, if anything, behind after use.

Does spray and wipe have carnuba? I know it doesn't mention it in the description but maybe in the msds sheets? It really does darken the paint and add depth. I know I am not crazy, but I never looked for it. Maybe the silicone has something to do with it, but to give everyone a heads up next time, when you go to use spraya nd wipe, look at it from all sorts of angles, before and after.

Spray and Wipe is a very versatil product. Great for interior wipe downs too!

No. Because it was very very very light dusting. But definately bothered me.

I know what you mean. It gets really annoying. I just bought the California Duster from new egg and it really helps.

Agreed. As I recall a post a couple of years ago, the question was posed about shine or gloss components in S&W. Poorboy's response was (something to the effect of...) if you used S&W on a flat black hood you would get a clean flat black hood. S&W cleans the surface revealing the gloss (or not) that lies beneath. Unless the formulation has changed, S&W remains a great cleaner/quick detailer (in this case without the added glossing).
