Poorboys QD+ not really a QD...

....but more of a quick booster wax. It couldn't do the job that my trusty Megs QD does at picking up dust and leaving a slick finish. I tried it on the hood of my MR2 that currently has EX-P x 2 and Nattys that were freshly applied last week. It's a garage queen so all it gathered was some light dust. I shook well the spray bottle that was provided by Poorboys and applied about 6-7 pumps evenly onto 1/3 of the hood. I spreaded the QD+ with a clean MF, turned over the MF and buffed it dry. It does go on a little thick and hazes after spreading it out but quicky buffs away. It left a noticably (sp?) rough surface...probably because the carnauba clumped up the dust into little bits. I'm not sure if I marred the surface with those little dirt clumps. I cleaned it up with Megs QD and I was left again with a very slick surface!!

Is anyone else experiencing this? I would only use this with a clean surface as a booster wax...but there is no fun in that. I rather be waxing!

The bottle is 98% full...I'm willing to trade this along with the separate spray bottle for something equal in trade value...any takers?

EDIT: I've decided to keep the QD+ because I found an old almost empty bottle of Clay Magic QD that I can use for QD+...thanks for the trade offers.

Yes, I think it is meant to be a booster wax. If you are a Poorboy's purist, I think you QD with Spray & Wipe, which doesn't add any gloss or slickness, then you use the QD+. :nixweiss

that is way too much. I probably use about 2-3 sprays over the entire hood.

yes, I would only use it on a clean or slightly dusty car unlike a traditional QD

LouisianaJeeper: The spray bottle I used didn't release enough with one pump so I had to compensate with more.

SpoiledMan: What do you have?

Klasse twins

1Z polishes and Glanz wax

VM

EX-P

UPP

LS

DACP

NXT wax

to name a few. I also have several of the Meguiar's Detailer products. If you're not interested in any of these, let me know and I will dig deeper.

I agree!

I use an old clay magic bottle as I like it's fine spray. A quick sweeping spray x 3 should get the whole hood and I sometimes find enough QD+ on the damp towel that I can spread product over a pretty extended area. You can see the haze areas. As above don't over do it, and I do not use QD+ as quick detail, but one can.

JUST finished tonight a light S&W, very very light FI and very light QD+ on wife's sprinkler spotted white Accord with EX-P x 2, put down May 5. :xyxthumbs
