Here’s the latest…. An 03 Pontiac GA.
Wash: Poorboys SS&S w/Wax, Optimum APC on the wheels and wells.
I detailed this car 4-5 months ago, so no need to clay.
Dressing: I used Optimum Tire Gel & tire spray mix on the wells & tires x 2. Poorboys leather cleaner/conditioner on the door jam seals (I LOVE THIS STUFF). The interior trim got #40, and TR on the rockers. The exterior wiper was also hit with TR.
Interior:
Kids & Pets and Optimum APC on the carpets & mats, and seats.
Optimum APC mix on the dash, door trim, and jams.
Paint:
Poorboys Polish with Sealer (PwS) on everything (paint, windows, trim, wheels, lights). Yes, Steve has another fine PB’s product on his hands. This stuff is easy to use, and produces a VERY wet looking finish. I’ll write up a review after a few more uses. I applied it with a finishing pad at 1200RPM. The paint was pretty clean since I polished it out a few months ago. PwS took care of the mild marring with a finishing pad. I didn’t go after any light scratches. 80% or better of the paint was clean.
I used OCW with a MF applicator and PB’s mega plush MF for final wipe down. OCW on all exterior paint, and the jams.
Time: I started at 8:30am on Sunday, and had the car delivered and everything cleaned up by 1pm.
I didn’t have time to do the tail pipes (and they are NASTY). I’ll get them the next time around.
Here are a few afters:
I took a snap in the garage so you could see the ‘wet’ look of Poorboys Polish with Sealer.
Interior:
Here’s what the customer wants done next. A 1995 Minivan that should be driven to the woods and abondened. The picture actually makes it look much better than it does in person. I told the customer that I would do it if my neighbor wanted to help. I’m done going solo on vans.
