Poorboys Polish and Zaino.

Wouldn't it be safe to say that using Poorboy's SSR3,SSR2 and followed by Poorboy's PP as a prep for removing swirls and cleaning the paint prior to using Z5/Z2 would work without doing a Dawn wash or iso/water QD,as they have no wax or silicone in there product.

The reason you wash after polishing and prior to applying Zaino is to provide a perfectly clean surface to allow for complete bonding. Washing removes oils, fillers, residue, solvents... among other things. This applies to any mfr's polishes.

Or you can always do an isopropyl alcohol/water wipe: ;)

Poorboy polishes contain oils and fillers that mask the true condition of a finish and may weaken the bonding of any non-cleaning product.

I've not used the PP, but Steve states it is CARNUABA free, but doesn't say anything about it being filler or solvent free. I agree w/ bret and BW that you'd more than likely have bonding issues. Since you're using Zaino you actually might want to try getting some AIO to replace the PP in that regimen.

You could try...it might work out fine. I've done strange stuff before and it works sometimes. The Zaino's durability may definitely decrease tho....

Poorboys Pro Polish (PP) has no oils or fillers. Zaino should bond fine to PP. Email Steve at Poorboys and ask him, he will say the same thing.

Zaino will have trouble bonding with Poorboys Polish w/ Carnuba (PwC).

Wow BW you are now my chemist:eek....from dental hygene to chemical maker at night:rolleyes:

there are no oils or fillers in Professional Polish......

and all polishes as Brett said, have solvents....if Zaino requires the removal of all solvents, then by no means should you try to do something that is not advised:nixweiss

Oh, wow. Sorry. I was referring to my experience with SSR1.

04BlackAV, it's better safe than sorry, so I still suggest IPA:xyxthumb...........

Thanks...I guess what ever I decide to use for a polish,I'll just do a iso/water QD before Zaino. As I'm going to try by hand first I guess the main thing will be how easy it is to work with.
