Poorboy's New Ride

Just out of curiosity... how bad WAS your mileage on the Eek????

I have the progenitor to the Equinox (Saturn Vue), but it's got the Honda-sourced 3.5L V6 & 5 speed auto tranny out of the Odyssey/Pilot/MDX. I average about 20 mpg around town & about 26-27 on the highway (when I'm not utilizing the 7.0 sec. 0-60 available under my foot). I considered the Eek, but they had just come out when I was looking, so got a much better deal (~ $6000 off MSRP) on the Vue when I bought mine. Can't go wrong with the T&C tho... especially with a family...

That particular mini-van is very smooth, fast and comfortable. My best friend's parents have a 96ish Town & Country and i'm very comfortable whenever we take a long trip somewhere. I could only imagine they improved the ride since then. It also sounds like you got a nice color that won't be that hard to keep looking good.

btw If I lived a little closer to ya i'd throw some change in the backseats :D
 
Thanks for all the well wishes:) It has already paid off, the DVD player keeps the kids real quiet while we drive, they don't even want to get out and tell us to be quiet so they can hear:lmfao ...We've already gone 70+ miles on the first 1/8 of a tank and in the Equinox it would have been about 1/2 a tank:eek
Yes ,John it's real quiet and comfortable, even more than the 96 we used to have and it also handles pretty well. Next week I'll probably detail it and take some pictures:D
