Poorboys EX-P sealant over Cleaner WAx?

I love 3M cleaner wax. I find it works miracles at removing and hiding swirls, while adding wax protection. I often spot use it with better results at getting rid of ad hoc light scratches than traditional polishes we all like using. And it leaves behind protection.

Well, tomorrows supposed to be near 60 up here in metro NY, so I think Ill wash and protect.

What I thought Id like to try is, applying and removing a coat of 3m Cleaner Wax with my PC to remove and to hide lt scratches, and leave behind a layer of protection.. And then following up with my EX-P, to add even more protection, and certainly, add to its longevity, as well as shine.

Is there any reason I cant apply it after the cleaner wax in this way?

well, somewhere, in the durability of sealants post, somebody postulated that the reason the ex-p suffered in durability is that initially, it was recommended users use it over VM, and that it was the 'greasiness' of the underlying prep product which contributed to its lack if durability.. If true I would think that any carnauba product laid down first wouldnt help.. But since thats strictly speculation, and since the exp instructions even allow for the use of such products, Im going to discount that idea for now.

there have been a few people who have gotten some good durability out EX-P, while others haven't. in my experience with EX-P, i've found that if you don't get the car wet for 24 hours or so after applying it, the slickness stays around longer. of course it seems with one wash the slickness of EX-P just disappears. :o

in your case, i don't see anything wrong because i think i've read about people would use poorboy's polish w/carnauba before EX-P.
