Poorboy SSR Selection

Out of all the SSR's which ones do I really need? I already have DACP, so that is the equivelent to SSR3, correct? I was thinking about just ordering SSR 2.5 & SSR 1, I heard that 2.5 is just a bit more aggresive than SSR 2.

Also, when I clay my car using quick detail as the lube, do I need to wash the car again ?

thanks for your time

I would imagine that DACP is around SSR 2 or 2.5. SSR 2.5 and SSR 1 would be great products to order.

You don't necessarily need to wash again if you are polishing or if you are cleaning your mess as you go.

Well, from everything I have read on here, SSR2.5 is equal to DACP as far as abrasiveness is concerned, some think one is a taaaaad bit stonger then the other and vice versa. SSR3 "should" be more abrasive and stronger than DACP. I would highly recommend SSR2.5 and SSR1. I dont see too much need for SSR2, unless at a later time you have some light swirls and marring that wont need as much polishing action that SSR2.5 would give.

As far as washing the car after clay detailer spray, you can avoid this process by simply wiping the Qd off the paint before it dries, just work small sections at a time and wipe dry with good MF towel. It wont hurt to wash the car again, but it isnt totally necessary. Hope this helps.

If I had to pick the order I'd order them in it would be SSR 2.5, SSR 1, SSR 3 (just to have on hand), SSR 2 (SSR 2.5 is more aggressive & following with SSR 1 will remove any induced marring).

I put DACP near SSR 2.5, but they work differently. I find the SSRs to be incredible with swirls but prefer DACP for oxidation & paint transfer.

Generally I like to wash again after claying, but I'm more anal than most. Like ZaneO said if you polish after you'll be good to go!

Your asking what you need but you don't say what your problem is, maybe you only need a finishing polish if you have DACP, like FPII or ssr1.

It depends on what your QD is and what sealant your gonna use after you clay. I go from clay magic to Zaino with no sticking issues, to be safe I wipe off with MF and water. I will say this, my brother goes from claying with CM and purposely doesn't wipe it off good and lets it dry then goes to Zaino and it really makes a butter smooth surface. I don't know if this effects the length of protection, and it's not what I do, but he loves it. There are some tempromental sealants that I would wash after claying, what is your sealant?
