Poorboy`s World

I haven`t seen Poorboy Steve since he moved south, I see he`s got coatings now including a trim coating that sounds interesting. He`s got his own forum now so he and Dwayne haven`t posted much (at all?) here since Autopia got merged back into AutopiaForums/Detail City.

Maybe I missed it but has anyone used his coatings? Any other news from that world?

Maybe as a gesture of goodwill and marketing, Poorboy`s World should send you a Ceramic coating Kit for you to try out and then you can review it here in this forum.

All kidding aside, your question is a good one; What is happening at Poorboy`s World these days and how many Autopians are using their car-care products now.
I do know that 512Detail has switched to Poorboy`s World Super Slick-and-Suds Car Wash Soap from McKee`s-37 Si02 Wash Soap for his goody bag of sample car-care products he gives out to his customers.
And the occasional mention of the ubiquitous-standard Poorboy`s Bug Squash used for removing the all-too-common stubborn summer bug splatter during a vehicle wash.

I have a friend over on the F150Ecoboost and the ExplorerST forums that tried the PoorBoys sealant just a week ago. It`s only a week out but everything he said about the application and immediate after result sounded very promising. I`ll give it a shot in the near future.

Those two guys are more active on Facebook. Not so much on forums or IG. At least from what I`ve seen.

I still use (and love) their products.

I have used their coating, and after trying out a handful of others for my test panel, i can say (initially) it`s the slickest one I`ve tried. Add the very attractive price, ease of use, and you got a winner. It`s definitely one coating I will be offering customers.

Recently used an old bottle of Polish with Carnauba Blue on a Hellcat

I use Steve’s bug squash, iron remover , super slick and suds and spray and wipe.

All great products. I visited Steve’s place in Florida. He a great guy as is Duane.

They post often in their facebook group. As mentioned their paint coating is very slick and very user friendly.

I am 11 months in with the coating. I haven`t noticed any drop off in performance. Just like The Guz said. "paint coating is very slick and very user friendly."

How is the water behavior of the coating? Hydrophobic properties and durability are much more important to me than being slick to the touch. I never feel my paint...it leaves finger prints I have to clean off!

This was taken 6 months after application. Also the vehicle hadn`t been washed in over a week.

This is a product that I didn`t even know existed and I do use a few of Poorboys World products and like them. How easy was the application? Is it a product that you would recommend?

Sorry for the lack of current beading pics. It was raining Friday and I am now on vacation. I`ll try and get some up next friday.

As far as application. It was as straight forward as it could be. To compare with what I have used. Which is Gyeon CanCoat, which i have been using for the past few years. IMHO PB is easier to apply. CanCoat is faster to apply. I could get 12/13 months out of CanCoat. I have no doubt PB will blow past 13months. CanCoat could give me 2 application out of the can. Before it turned to gel. PB is one application. I got 2 coats on a VW Titan.

I will be going with PB for the next application. I was always nervous to try a "full coating". PB was so cheap, even if I screwed it up. I wouldnt be out lot of money. It really was super easy to apply.

How well does it stay clean (resist dirt and dust)? Thanks.
