Poorboy`s World Bug Squash & Mesh Bug MF

Recently, my co-worker thought it would be fun to leave his filthy Chevy Volt with me for a polishing, while he drove his wife (and mother-in-law) out to Napa Valley for some wine tasting and golf. yay.

As I was doing the decon on the Volt, he sends me text asking for status as well as letting me know he wants me to remove bugs from his Porsche. He sent me some pics, and I was like, whoa. I`ve driven various parts of California, and haven`t had issues like that. These are rather mellow bugs, I`m sure, as compared to what some of you guys get out in Florida, and other states.

At any rate, he didn`t think his usual car wash spot would get the bugs out. Beats me, but I thought that was part of a wash? Anyway, the following Monday comes and he brings the Porsche to work. We head over to the local coin-op, and I use Bug Squash in conjunction with the very neat Mesh Bug MF from Poorboy`s World. Good stuff. I think the owner was surprised. Why? Cuz he looked and looked, and scratched his head and started taking pics! Weird.

I`ve used this stuff before, but not on anything this "bad." (quotes intentional, as I`m sure some have seen much worse).

Saturating the areas with the Bug Squash, followed by high pressure soap/rinse, then more BS for the bugs that didn`t come off, wiped with the Mesh MF (gently) and those suckers were gone. Great combo. Thanks Poorboy`s for making these products :)

I really love my MBM (Mesh Bug Microfiber) .. I had to use it with APC as a decontamination wash this past weekend. Some weird mold grows on the flat panels and they don`t come off with a normal wash :(

Good idea. I might have a similar situation on the roof of my Jeep. Me being short, I can`t really see on top of it (and never really gave it a proper wash :( )

I`m going to have to order more of those Mesh MFs. And some DMTs :( I had to Ron some of them during a job, as a few hit the ground. Stupid winds

You need a good apron with deep pockets ;)

Good job JJ. And Poorboy, I`m definitely a fan of Bug Squash in Central Florida

Thanks!

Was wearing one of the 3 (or 4?) that I got from Poorboy`s! Pockets were full at the time, though. Multitasking hurt me

love that stuff. i kind of like the old 16x16 though, sad that its gone

It`s the size I was using. Seems like a good size for this task.

LOVE this combo. Makes Love Bug removal easy work. If no carcasses, i use the diluted BS as a sort of "pre-wash"; just spray, let dwell, and come back to wash as normal (2BM). Works like a charm.

One thing I always forget to put in the cart. I need to remember next time. This past weekend I had a Mercedes that was peppered with bugs and tar. OPC and tar x with a bug sponge did a good job but I would like to compare that with BS and and the mesh MF.

those mesh towels are a life saver

I still remind you all of that ford truck I did with what felt like sand blasted on top of the clear coat and claying was barely doing anything...but the bug mesh towel and some bubbly SSS and BOOM! gone

those are the gray ones, right?

and the blue ones are the smaller ones?

I bought a 6 pack of the blue ones but they are in a box somewhere, I`ve been using the gray ones for a while. I think I have a dozen of them but have given them away because they are so awesome I wanted other people to have them too.

I don`t think I`ve ever used one of the blue ones...I will find the box and give it a try...I have about 900 miles of bugs on my car right now and it needs a good wash, I don`t even care if it`s raining after work when I wash it

edit: I find myself really liking the current size of the `older` ones
