Is poorboy Natty's blue a good wax for black?...it's better than Pinnacle suoveran? or can be better Zymol carbon or Swissol Onyx? and, in your opinion, it's better than p21s 100%?...thanks

Good, yes. I still use it where I see fit. Its deep, wet, and has pretty good durability. Oh yeah, it's about 1/3 the price of Souveran.

Many will argue Souveran looks better, I have not used it.

Natty's Blue is still one of my go to waxes. One of the best characteristics of Natty's Blue is that it can be applied right in the sun.

I find that Natty's Blue is a considerably wetter look than Souveran. Souveran has the rich black look, but I was sold on Natty's after I applied it over my coat of RMG.

NB/CMW are probably the two wettest looking waxes I have used.

So yes, for the price it is definitely a great wax, durability is OK, beading is awesome, and application is a breeze.

I use Natty's Red Paste Wax.

Same thing as blue, alittle easier to apply and take off. And IMO, wetter look than NB.......

AND IT SMELLS LIKE STRAWBERRIES!!!!!!!!

lol

so for a royal sapphire pearl, which would be better the blue or the red?

I have Natty's Blue and was not impressed with it. It's easy on and easy off, but which wax isn't these days? Poor durability and the beading was nothing to write home about. Disappointing.

I agree with P1et, I tried NB on a couple cars - eh? I couldn't see what the fuss was about. Yeah, souveran cost more and this time - I could see the difference.

I've never used Natty's Blue, but I have used the original white Nattys and I do have Souveran. Compared to the white Natty's Souveran is so easy to use it's not even a comparison. Bang for the buck, the Natty's waxes are great, but I've never been a huge fan of the application. I think DP Max wax should get an honorable mention in this thread. It's the same easy application of Souveran and it looks great for about $25.

yeah i have a jar of Natty's blue ... nothing special about it... used it on my Matador Red Mica paint ....

PS21S is leaps and bounds easier to apply and wipe off compared to NB.... and I think it has a better gloss too...

See I just do not find CMW that wet. Well I should say that I do not like it on metallics, it mutes them. A good combo is RMG, CMW, NB and then Zaino Clear Seal to seal it all in. I have found ZCS does not do much for looks but it locks everything in. Thats the best part about it is that you can use it over anything.

Hello I am pretty new to this forum. I just ordered a can of Nattys blue paste wax and I read in a couple places that it can be applied in direct sunlight along with in the shade. Now i was curious which one would be better. like which one gives off the best shine whether you do it in sun or shade? or if either application has better durability? any comments are greatly appreciated. oh and sorry for hi-jacking your thread but i figured this would be the best place to ask this question! thank you! :D

:welcome to Autopia!

Natty's and all of Poorboy's products are designed to be used in direct sun or shade, but they will be a lot more easier to work in the shade. NB will give you a nice deep shine, and despite durability is in question, it's a good buy for the price. Just make sure it hazes before removing it.

Thanks for the reply! yeah ill probably end up doing it in the shade. I'll be sure to post my results and maybe some pics. :up

Wow, never seen so much negativity towards Nattys Blue. Personaly I love the stuff. After a coat of PB EX-P I think it really brings out the flake, and is deep and weet looking on my Velocity Red Mica. Although I have not tried as of yet the other brands mentioned in this tread.

The naked eye is the only way to really see the impact of the wax and the flake in the paint, but here's a recent photo after 2 coats of Nattys Blue.

Ok so I've got my Nattys blue paste wax and the poorboys EX-P sealant that was recommended to go under the Nattys paste wax. The way the water beads on my car it seems like there is still a layer of wax on it. (I didn't apply it, I just bought the car 3 weeks ago). Now, from all of the threads I have read about sealants it is stated that they will not properly bond on top of wax. So should i take off this layer of wax that appears to be on my car off? and if so, how? Another thing I read was letting the sealant properly harden or something along those lines. They said that took like 12 hours and then you apply the wax over that. Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated, especially from the people who have done it before and liked their results!
