I recently saw a product called Polycharger and it claims to boost wax durability or some in that sort. Anyone have a opinion?

Go down to the sponsors forum and read the threads in the Premium Finish Care section. They make polycharger and there are numerous threads about it. I use it with Jeff's Werkstatt Acrylic Jett and like it.

I recently asked the same question on a different forum and I got some interesting responses.

As you stated, it is a product designed to boost the durability of any wax, but depending upon which wax/sealant you are using, some companies already make products that do the same thing, but are much cheaper (and sans the fancy name).

For example... the Ultimate Quik Detailer from Meguiar's extends the life of NXT 2.0 by months and costs 10 bucks per bottle.

why talk about something you do not understand?:think2

as far as I know there are no other products like it:nervous:

you would add Polycharder to NXT 2.0

and that ONE application would last longer than

an application of just NXT 2.0

I've tried pinnacle liquid soverign w/ and w/o polycharger. W/o pc it seemed to last 2-3weeks. W/ pc it's been several months and it still seems to be doing its job quite nicely.

Why write, when you cannot construct a proper sentence?

Or, I could use UQD weekly at a fraction of the price and my NXT 2.0 will last longer and with the extra money, I can buy my son a whole lot of ice cream.

Easy there junior. You know not what you speak it seems. UQD is not anything like polycharger, and please refrain from relying upon rumor, hearsay, and speculation.

That's like saying Souveran lasted 4 months becuase I AW every week.

Finally, Polycharger is a unique product and has so far lived up to it's claims.

I picked it up from Danase a while back, both the solvent and H2O versions.

I like to add it to products that didn't impress me or could use a boost.

I polycharged #21 when the PC kits first came out, it beaded consistantly and tightly for 3 months before i got bored and removed it! On the V70's at my work i put on a coat of KSG that was PC'd even after 6 month it was still clearly beading although not super tightly....pretty insane!

The thing is, in someways the looks had been ruined of KSG b/c on bonded contaminents etc. But still, it was beading and protecting and looked nice.

Sporto,

Read what I said, carefully. Now, read it again.

I did not say UQD was "like polycharger", I said it had the same effect as polycharger; ie: increasing the durability of a wax.

Question: Does UQD extend the life on NXT 2.0?

Answer: Yes.

Question: In theory, will polycharger extend the life of NXT 2.0

Answer: In theory, yes.

Therefore, although different products the result is the same in so far as they extend the life of the product. They are used differently, but the result it still the same.

I'd skip the polycharger. Basically you are mixing a good product with an average product to get above average durability. I'd just get the 4 oz Ultima since it's the same base product.
