Ummm.... Ya.....
Pollen is bad but we haven't been hit by it to bad yet. Usually I keep a sealant on our vehicle early on to try and counteract the pollen problem. If the surface is slick enought th pollen has a hard time hanging on.

What I was getting at is how the pollen works like Seal Team Six on LSP's. It completely killed the Opti-Seal on my friend Jr's car in like a week.

I have one and it does work well. No marring to speak of. Its still a pain cuz it comes back quick.

I found that Fuzion and Collinite 845 hold up pretty well. You are right tho....some LSPs fade very quickly.

I had performed a multi-product wax test during the middle of pollen season (not planned) and Collinite 476 was zapped just as much as the others in terms of loss of beading. There was some protection.
I hate to bring this thread back but I applied Collinite 845 last week and from the lack of beading today, I'm not sure how it's holding up. We've had plenty of pollen here so maybe that's it? I rinsed off the pollen a few days ago and the beading was still there. Today, it seems like on some surfaces, there is no beading at all.
Maybe one should let it cure longer?
I didn't use to pay this much attention to detailing before so I'm still learning (as we all are).

Hey, thanks for dragging up my old thread! People have posted (in other threads) about the microscopic structure of pollen which I guess could be likened to microfiber in that it has a lot of surfaces for grabbing onto things, and is also (therefore?) quite abrasive. So I'm not sure if the beading-killing is from the pollen grabbing onto and pulling off or wearing away the LSP, or whether it's the "Dawn" effect of the pollen attaching itself to the surface of the LSP and changing the beading characteristics. We're not quite into the peak pollen season yet; I started the thread two weeks later than now, and we'll probably be a little later this year as winter dragged on pretty long this year.
