polishing w/ water?

Do you mean only using water instead of a polish or misting your pad with water.

I remember Poorboy saying that misting the pad will make his SSR's more aggressive.

Water is a natural abbrasive. That is why the addition of water or QD will make a polish more abbrasive. I have never even considered polishing with just water alone. Heck, if I did that what would I do with all my detailing money?

hahaha, tell me about it. I'd have some extra cash laying around if you polish with water alone.

Someone want to be the test pilot? Heck, I may try it tomorrow for the fun of it...

By no means did I mean w/ water alone forgive me for not being more discriptive but I meant misting your pad w/ water or the panel itself but I tried it and it was cool, kept my pad real clean and the polish broke down a lot faster witch good for my time and it cleared up my swrill mark remover good. So as to say the polish breaks down quicker so I think I'll keep on w/ it though I would like to know how it works w/ a PC ,maybe some of you PC veterans can try and tell me how it works? Thanks DWG

I have misted my pads to prime them, it does work well, but as I mentioned earlier it will make some products more aggressive.

ok.....

I always mist my pads when they are fresh. Never use a dry pad to begin with. During the hot summer months, I will usually mist the pad after I have been using it a while to keep dust to a minimum.

I have always misted my pads with eithe water or a pad conditioner, especially with my rotary I found it makes it run smoother, less hopping.

Common practice for me with most products, both with the PC and the Cyclo. Mist is the key word.
