Polishing recommendations...

The Driver

Detailers Workshop
So I finally got a new car, 2006 Volvo S60R. I love the car but it was definitely resprayed. The whole car is literally covered in orange peel spots. So I decided on taking it down an wet sanding the whole car with 2000 grit (By Da machine).

My question is what would be the best layout and most efficient layout of polishes for for making the car literally perfect. I'm only using the Menzerna line.

So in order of what I got to use...
FG400
PG1000
SIP1500
PF2500
FF3000
SF4000
P085RD/4500
Finishing Glaze

I'm most likely going to start with FG400 or SIP using a wool pad with the flex PE. From there though what can I use to finish all those fine micromarks down, I want to try an finish up with the 3401 but I really want to jewel it over... is it possible to really jewel it over as fine with the Ro vs the Pe.

Have you looked into the velvet and denim orange peel pads? There are a couple write ups on here showing some great results.

Alright, well after some trial an error I finally got an amazing combo.

1. Wet-sand 2000 D/a
2. FG400 - Wool pad speed 1x600 + 1x1200 - Pe 14-2
3. FG400 - Wool pad speed 1x700 + 1x1400 - Pe 14-2
4. FF3000 - Blue Pad speed 1x700 +1x1500 - Pe 14-2
Looks great but I wanted that BLING, so I threw in this.
5. 4000 - Red Pad Speed 1 + Speed 6 Flex 3401
6. P085RD - Red Pad Speed 6 Flex 3401
7. P0115 - Black Speed 6 Flex 3401
