Hi all, ive tried searching but i wasnt able to find an answer. I was wondering what cares to take when polishing an oxidised/faded plastic bumper. i have a megs g220 and im learning to use it with some good results. i have a '90 mx5 and want to get it looking great. Is it ok to use my other polish's on plastic like i use on the paint over metal? ive had good results with colourx by hand in the past and i also have mothers plastic polish i can use. Thanks for any tips

Thanks, its red painted plastic. i have heard that bumpers have special flex agents in them and cant take the same ammount of heat that metal pannels can but i guess with a DA its not going to heat up enough to matter

You're right about using a DA polisher. I have painted plastic bumper covers on my car and have had no problems polishing them at the same speed as the rest of the car.
