polishing a tv

I'm a modelmaker and we're building a huge TV for the end of the year, the back side of it is going to be a large sheet of ABS painted with a PPG base coat / clear coat (black) and we're going to need to polish it. I've got my own PC that I'll be bringing in to do the job. I'm wondering what type of products we should be using for the polish on such a fresh paint job. 3055 prime, DBC base, 2002 clear, without a bake booth. Paint the first day, polish the second.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi mysta, Welcome to Autopia:up

Since you will be polishing new paint, until the paint is fully cured, try using Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze with a polishing pad on speed 4-5 with the PC.

It's not everyday someone polishes a TV:eek: #80 will polish out the new paint quite nicely and it's supposed to leave a layer of protection on there until it's safe to put on a coat of wax, like NXT for instance. Try that see if it helps,,,,,,,,,AR
