Polish recommendation?

1 I have the wash.
2 I have the clean. Claybar
3 Polish????
4 I have the protectant. BF wet diamond
5 the maintain. BF polymer spray

I have a 2010 titanium gray civic with light swirls when sun hits nothing major.
I also have a 2014 gunmetal accord just got it last month.

I also have a 2014 toyota tundra white.

Which polish could i use or do I need to get diff polish for each car since one has swirls and the others is new paint?

I will be using a HF DA polisher I have 2 blue and 3 black pads with a microfiber towel for buffing out finish.
 
You may want to look into some of the all in one products out there like BF total polish and seal. They work great for removing minor paint defects like light swirls and leave behind a layer of protection. They are basically a polish and sealant or wax all in one product. Aka cleaner waxes. And if you want that extra pop you could go over the car with something like black fire total polish and seal and follow up with wet diamond after
 
im open to different brands also.. not just BF.. i just wanted to mentioned that i already have the BF wet diamond

Your 2 Honda's have easier to correct paint.. I dont see needing anything really aggressive to correct those cars..

Have experience with older Toyota paint and it was also easy to correct...

Have you decided how much time/effort do you want to spend learning how to first, and then correcting at the level you want for the 3 vehicles?

Im thinking that an easy to learn to use correcting product is Optimum Hyper Polish... It is a milder compound that is predictable, cuts fast and as long as you want it to, and does not dust or make a mess...

There are so many choices - it is almost mind boggling - good luck with this!

as adjunct to total polish and seal, bf finish polish might do well with minor swirls and soft paint. with a topper of bfwd
 
+1 on the Optimum Hyper Polish. You may also want to consider Megs Ultimate Polish--easy to work with for beginners and available here or at your local Walmart for about $10

You're also going to need allot more MF cloths than just one.
 
I have a Harbor freight DA polisher.

Yea it is overwhelming with the choices but I need to add a polish to deepen the gloss then apply my protectant of BF wet diamond.

Will my blue or black pad not work?

If i can get Megs Ultimate Polish local which would be convenient i dont mind taking that route as long as I see results..
 
Meguiar's M205 is my go-to one step polish on good condition cars.
It is so easy to use, does minor swirls removal and leaves paint very smooth.

Use M205 with a polishing pad for polishing, or finishing pad for finishing.
Then maintain it properly and use Ultimate Polish in your future details.

Did you purchase a quality 5" backing plate for the HF DA?? The 6" that comes with it is not very good.

What brand and size pads do you have??

You will see results with Megs UP if you use good technique and the right pad for the job.
 
yes i got a 5 inch backing and got these for pads Mix and Match 5-pk., 5.5" Buff & Shine Foam Pads

3 black and 2 blue..

i guess i am just looking for a polish product fr my 3rd step before i apply my BF wet diamond so it will bring the deep gloss and shine but same time be good for my new car paint n my 3 yr old car

So the M205 will be applied after i clay and before i apply BF wet diamond? Right?
 
The M205 should be used before BFWD. Look up some guides on polishing technique.

As for Meguiars ultimate polish, its a great product, but is meant to leave some product on the surface that may affect the bonding of BFWD. While convenient, I would skip it as it may effect the durability of the BFWD. I could be wrong though, im sure someone will chime in if I am.

Ditto on this. I have used it and it works great for the beginner. I have now purchased Sonax Profiline Perfect Finish 4/6 1000 ml. to give it a try next spring. It is a little expensive, but got it on sale so that helped, but I like the results in the polish shootout. I used Meg's Ultimate polish and it will remove the light to moderate swirls depending on the pad used. I used an Orange LC cool wave pad and got good results. With the new polish I have bought some less aggressive pads such as the black or blue pads from LC.

HD Polish is quite wonderful too. I still have 205 in the stables. You can never have enough polish.
