PoliSeal and Rotary

First of all I guess I want to ask this. Is poliseal ok to use to clean paint every so often? Not to use it for correction but just to clean it up and leave a bit of protection? I have never tried it with the rotary and I want to. Should I use a white pad or black pad? What rpm?

I used it last year with a white pad and the pc but I dont wanna cut much if anything. Just clean the paint. It woks well as my white pads used to be blackish color by the time I was done.

It cleans the paint pretty well indeed. If your using it by rotary, I would use a softer gray pad and keep the RPMs down ~1200-1000.

PoliSeal does fill to a degree.

Just to clarify, does the sealant fill in some defects as it coats or does it contain fillers that are intended to hide defects in the short term-only to be washed away within a couple washes? To the best of my knowledge, it's the former since I've seen it still beading at 3 months, but maybe I just got lucky. I'm just looking to clarify definition of terms, not trying to contradict you.

I use Poli-Seal with a blue Soft Edge polishing pad, which is actually a pretty soft pad for a polishing pad. Anyway, 1000-1200 rpm or so and I don't get holograms with it.

I dont use edge pads but would the gray pad from lake country be pretty good? I do not want to make holograms.

That would be fine because it's a finishing pad. The edge pad Scott's talking about is a polishing pad. I've successfully done it with LC white too.

Actually, the "Soft Edge" pad is made by American Buffing. David G from Optimum sent me a couple to test. I've heard they are the same pads Patrick at excel detail was selling as Propel II pads.
