I have been reading for some time now and I'm so lost that I don't know what products to order....

I know these type of questions have been asked before, but I need some good recommendations on products for my needs..

- Something to remove swirls, scratch, oxidization

- Polishing

- Good Sealant to secure the looks for long amount of time

I have Porter Cable 7424 and I will use that for removing scratch, swirls, etc and to apply Polish..

But for wax, I need something that I can apply quickly by hand or something and just wipe it off...

2x on Danase swirl abolshers

also grab some wet glaze wile your there

for your sealant I would go with Ultima PGP(i just got some and have not used it yet but hear good things about it, try a search for more info.)

you just wipe it on and walk away!

If you do the UPGP, I recommend 3 coats 12 hours apart and a final buff with an MF buffing towel. Oh yeah, definitely do the DWG.

So SAII is all i need for my swirl removal, scratch and polishing need and top it of with sealant??? thats all?

no need to buy polish separately?

I would buy all three just in case (chances are you will need them sooner or later)

there is no way for us to tell you exactly what you will need

P.S. not sure what you are saying but the Swirl Abolishers are polishes

I didn't knw about that until you said it...hahaa

So I can use Danase Swirl Abolisher II all over my car, right?

I think I got confused between Compound, Which usually is abrasive and should only be used on problem areas?

Everyone here has there own prefernce as to what to use on you vehicle. I use and am extremely happy with Zaino products. They may not be the cheapest on the market but you get what you pay for.

You can start with the clay bar routine to clean the paint. Instead to the clay bar I used Zaino All-In-One (Z-AIO). Z-AIO is a cleaner, polish and sealant. Does an OUTSTANDING job on a car/truck or motorcycle. The manufactuer says 3 or 4 per year for a daily drive will do wonders.

On the other hand, my routine is a follows. I use Z-AIO once in the spring to remove all the junk that gets stuck to my vechiles over the winter. Here in Colorado they use Magnesium Chloride on the roads, it's hard on paint and corrosive to aluminum. Subsequent washes/polish sprees I user Z-5 which is polish and fine swirl/scratch cover. After a coat of Z-5 I use Z-6 (Quick Detailer) and the Z-CS (Clear Sealer).

Zaino products can be used on everything including glass and polycarbonate (headlights), basically everything on the outside of your vehicle except for porus plastic but it will not stain or leave that crappy white residue oj the porus plastic. The nice thing about Zaino is that a little goes a long way. You apply the stuff until you have a slight haze, let dry, buff off and hit the car with Z-6 or Z-CS or both. Zaino sell a starter kit which contains everything you need except for Z-AIO.

Zaino is worth checking out but the decision on what to use is ultimately yours to make

No problem. We where all noobs at sometime.

Really it depends on how bad your swirls are and how workable your paint is. I've found that the SAII is a good balance of cut and finish quality. I would start there, if you have some really bad spots you might have to do those areas twice. Do you have pads for your PC? Lake County 5" white ones are what I use with SAII. Danase sells those too, so you can save on shipping not having to order from a bunch of different companies.

I had a sample of DWG and tried it in a small area. That was enough for me to order a full bottle. But then winter came and I haven't had a chance to use it beyond the small test area.

For a sealant there are so many good ones you almost can't go wrong.

Yeah it's tough to know without seeing the car what you'll need, but what was mentioned should do you fine.

I use Optimum products for polishing, and also Menzerna but any reputable product is going to give you results, the only thing that varies is how they give you the result... i.e. how long they are workable and how they react to certain paint etc. etc.

Just pick one and start learning :)

Oh and I would have to disagree on ChiliRed's comment about forgoing a clay bar and substituting it with ZAIO.

ZAIO is great, but it will absolutely not get out the contaminants a clay bar will. Just make sure you have the bar lubed and surface lubed and you'll be amazed how much better your paint will look and feel after a clay bar.
