for those that don't know what I'm talking about, I'm trying to take out the scratches on the display of my skyfi receiver:

I tried Plexus, but it's kind of hard to spray onto a 1"x3"ish panel. Would the meg's plastic polish work just as well or better?

I'm interested in hearing how you like your XM unit? Are you satisfied? Is it the best thing ever? Would you recommend it?

The unit is about $129, but how much is the monthly cost and how long a contract do you have to sign?

I really like my skyfi unit. If you're a music nut and drive a lot it's a good purchase. Think of it as cable tv for your radio, 150-some channels. The skyfi is a 2nd generation receiver and has a large text display. Many automotive companies are starting to integrate XM into the OEM systems (e.g. Honda, GM).

The sound quality (a digital signal) is inbetween FM and CD. I get fuzz under power lines and bridges, but for only a moment or so.

The monthly cost is $10/month and there is no contract. I think there's a $15 activation fee, though.

Plexus is sort of a glaze for smooth plastics. Actually it makes even perfect plastic look better. But it won't hide medium scratches or worse. And forget about it polishing anything, it simply doesn't. It is perfect for instrument panels and headlights and tailights--and your unit assuming you don't need to polish it first.

I have heard that 3M IHG would work to get the scratches out of displays such as that. Never tried it before though.

thx for the info, I might give the meg's or 3M IHG a go, whichever I can find locally. Wohoo another boat shop trip! :D jcattarulla, check out www.xmradio.com for the programming info. They have ~100 channels for music and another ~100 for news/talkshows.

i used #10 & #17 to clean my Kenwood headunit and it worked great. used a MF app. i use Plexus and mf towel on my palm pilot screen.
