I actually like my black car alot...........when it's clean and perfectly polished...my issue is its alomst never to my liking but I am getting better at it. I would love to have the whole car touched up and dipped in clear 1-2x per year. Then I would only drive black cars.

On super soft finishes that never quite finish down properly, one combo I have found to work extremely well is Menzerna PO87mc on a black LC finishing pad with a DA machine.

all i have is a makita but i could get it to 95% with a ccs green pad and power finish. then when i would put the bfwd on it seemed either the applicator or the mf left scratches.

Thats very odd.

What applicator were you using? Perhaps one of those yellow wax applicators? I found those edges can be trouble, may be the cause of your issue if thats what you used.
