Hello:



I read an article by Dave B- see below link.



Dave's article on fixing chipped paint





I need help finding the following. Can you tell me where

to get them.





Automotive or metal primer



Prep solvent (Prepsol) or denatured alcohol



Foam swabs (from electronics supply) or pop swabs containing alcohol



(can I just dip Qtips into IPA?)



Meguiarâ€â„¢s Unigrit Sanding Block and 1200 grit wet & dry sand paper



3M medium grit hand rubbing compound

- any hardware store (often labeled as shellac thinner)



(can I just dip Qtips into IPA?)

- IPA bottled as "rubbing alcohol" has too much water in it. I don't like Q-tips, they shed fibers.

Most town medium size towns will have an automotive paint shop to supply local body shops, car dealers etc. Check your local phone book.
