I'm trying to eliminate a slight cabin odor, and also a damp odor from the A/C. I've managed to rule out water leaks, and to the best of my knowledge (and a professional's opinion) it's most likely just residual odor in the fabrics.
Building on the advice & suggestions from the last question on this I posted, here's what I intend to do. If anyone could comment on whether this sounds about right, or if any of this is in the wrong order or simply a terrible idea I'd really appreciate it. The car's a bmw 3 series, with tan leather interior, tan carpet and black headliner (in case the colors or vehicle has any known issues with any of this).
1. vacuum headliner, clean (carefully) with automotive upholstery foam and a sponge. Wipe with a damp microfiber towel, let dry then vacuum again.
2. Vacuum, then extract carpets with 'little green machine', or clean with upholstery foam. Spot clean the couple of cola/coffee stains with foam regardless. Let dry, vacuum again.
3. Use Wurth A/C & Heating spray in the A/C system, per the directions.
4. Use Wurth odor removal fogger aerosol inside the car with A/C on recirculate.
5. Clean & condition the seats, clean up any residue from the fogger.
Just want to be sure that nothing here is likely to ruin anything, or if foam vs. a woolite/water solution is less effective etc.
Thanks very much for any advice.
