What do you detailers think? To me the touched up spot looks lighter and there is toomuch metallic. To me it noticable in the sun and more if you look at it from the rear angle. Do any of you notice the spot? See pictures. How would you fix it? Repaint area or whole door? I know after you paint it, it will never be the same. I'm real stuck on what to do. :nixweiss Help please.

Thanks.

Might have been buffer burn from a previous detailer. Its hard to tell without seeing it in person. Try a light polish to see if removes the haze.

the spot was repainted by body shop... i wanted to know what detailers think. should i have the bodyshop..

1. redo that spot ( prob will never come out prefect but little better )

2. paint whole door (it's never the same after paint job)

3. leave it as is ( :o( )

since this is a new car, i am getting annoyed. the dealer is paying for the work since they screw it up. it seems like all my options are bad.

How did they repaint just a spot?? Never really heard of a bodyshop doing that. Its usually the whole panel or nothing. At this point I would leave it as is.

this is what they said.. they cleaned/blended a quarter size. more like a BIG softball size to me and clear coated about that size. I can see a slight coat shadow bucasue of the mask area if i look close. the thing that bothers me is the the shades dont match.
