Just One More Coat
I had the chance to work on this Porcshe GT3 race car over the weekend. It was allot of fun as I had a lift to work with. We removed the wheels and I had to use laqure thinner to clean the rubber out of the wells. I also used Simple Green automotive for a degreaser, but that had little effect on the heavy rubber areas. The inside as you can see is completly guted so I just wiped the area down and coated it with a spray on polish that dires to a nice glass. The out side althought its a new car is trashed on the front from rock chips. I clayed to get as clean as possible then used a blue edge pad with Pro-polish on the hood then came back with the same pad with P-w-C on the whole car. Rims where cleaned with PB S&R and scrubed up....tires I did nothing to them he was going to be putting new ones on....the tires where so soft that the rock where stuck in them...the cost is $1600 a set and they only last 4 hours on the track...The owner was so impressed with my work that he wants me out once a month for a cleaning....The cost for this job was $350 and took me about 6 hours.
