Platinum Gloss Enhancer and dust?

Some time back, I posted a question about dust accumulation after I had used Poorboy's Spray & Wipe followed by Platinum UGE. At the time, I wasn't sure which was attracting the dust. Also, no one else seemed to have ever experienced this problem. Last night I bucket washed the van, dried it, put it in the garage. Today I went over it with Platinum UGE and hit the streets. I now have lots of streaky dust on the vehicle. What the heck am I doing wrong? I shake the bottle well, don't use a lot of UGE, wipe it off with a PakShak MF and finish wiping/polishing with another PakShak MF. Tomorrow I will try again with the CCD, UGE and cotton towels and see what the results are. Obviously I am leaving some residue that is attracting the dust, but the finish seems dry and slick and does not look greasy or smeared when I am finished.:confused: :mad: :mad:

Could there somehow be some static in the towels? Maybe it is a combination of the S&W and UGE? It will be interesting to see what your results are without the S&W, and different towels.

This time, it was just the UGE after a bucket wash. It so happens I didn't get a chance to get the dust off today to see if the cotton towels will make any difference.
I don't think it is static electricity because the dust seems to follow the wiping pattern I used. Evidently, I'm not getting it all wiped off. Hopefully I can try again tomorrow.
 
The following statement was taken from a post by Mike Phillips of Meguiar's. It was made regarding the use of spray wax, but just might have something to do with my streaky dust problem.
A quote from Mike Phillips. "Fast wiping motions, i.e. wiping you finish like a "Mad Man", doesn't allow the microscopic fibers enough time to "Adsorb", (not absorb), the product from the microscopic surface imperfections. (This can lead to streaking or smearing of anyone’s product)."

Something I had never given any thought to. I don't "wipe like a Mad Man", but I don't spend a lot of time in any one area.
