Plastic trim

Looking for a dressing to use on my plastic trim and tonneau cover and was considering Poorboy's trim restore but may consider Tuff Shine Black Restore but have really found in depth review like the Tuff Shine tire shine. Why is everyone using products that don't hold up. Seems to be a no brainer for the Tuff Shine Tire Shine and Black Restore. Someone shed some light on this please.

Application is 90% of about any product. For me PB TR is a real go to for lots of applications, from rubber to vinyls and lots more.

Cost of the product over the OTC is minimal IMO for what you get.

For a traditional dressing, I agree with Angelo, look at Ultima Trim Guard Plus.

For a more permanent coating I would look at either Car Pro Dlux (as Bobby G suggested) or Gtechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer

You may want to check out and follow my current review on CarPro Dlux.

I have used PB Trim Restorer and UTTG as well. PBTR is very quick and easy to use but I found that it seemed to run and wash away when it rained. But is does a good job or restoring the color of your trim. UTTG is the best trim dressing I have used. It doesn't restore trim color as well as others but the durability is unmatched.

Since Dlux is a trim coating it should last much longer than comparable dressings. The restoring properties were very good and so far I am impressed.

So it really depends on how faded your trim is and what kind of durability your looking for.
