Plasti dip or use ultimate black?

The mudflaps on my 03 Accord are tired, faded and have old wax residue along the edges.

They all look like this. I'm considering deep cleaning and plasti dipping them for the long term durability of plasti dip, but I'm still on fence because I like the look of Meg's ultimate black on the black plastic.

What's the general consensus?

Get ya some wipe new ... And bring it right back to like new LOL... Hard to say really what ya want try something new on them this time ?

DLux for sure. Will restore them nicely. You need to clean them very well first. I recommend Tuff Shine Tire cleaner. Plasti-Dip is a bad idea....

Some APC would clean them up nicely. I would use a brush. Then dress them with a trim dressing.

Another option is to invest in some Mothers Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner which works really well on cleaning up trim and removing wax residue. I do recommend this kit. The added benefit is that this is available locally. My local oreilly has it on sale where you get a free bottle of Mothers Back to Black Trim Restorer. They make a good combo together. Mothers Back to Black has actually lasted longer for me than Meguiar's Ultimate Black.

I use the trim cleaner or APC with these brushes

For a trim restorer I have a couple of favorites

Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant. Applying a coat after every wash will restore these back. Mike Philips posted this over at AGO.

Turtle Wax Jet Black Black Endura Shine Trim Coating. This in my opinion is a sleeper product. It's black and makes trim look very black. I'm currently testing this out against WETS and it's doing fairly well. This one is also available locally. 2 Coats of this one should have the trim looking black. It's an acrylic sealant. You can see my review here.

I also use Meguiar's Ultimate Black. It works better on certain trims than others. Same application as WETS after every wash until restored.

Thanks for all the input guys. I'm gonna give all the recommendations equal thought when I go to the store. I didn't think anything TW was worth a second look, but Guz you've got me thinking.
