Pinnacle XMT Polishing Line

I want to purchase a line of polishing products and have narrowed it down (sort of) to a few manufacturers.

What's everyone's opinion of the Pinnacle XMT polishing line (for use with a PC)? Autogeek sells a nice "bundle" of four polishes that would be a really great deal when they have their 15% sale.

How does XMT compare to Optimum polishes - which is the other line I was thinking of purchasing.

As stated, they'll be used strictly with a PC.

Thanks

I used the stage 1 and 3 when I only had a 7424 and I did not like them at all.The glaze was also thin like water.I had the best luck with the poorboys line with my pc.

My (limited) experience with XMT products has been the exact opposite. I've also got XMT 3 and XMT 1 and have been pleased with them. XMT 3 cleaned some severe oxidation off my 96 Honda very well, and took out one relatively deep scratch after several passes. In all honesty, that scratch probably would have been easier with a heavier compound but I had just received my XMT polishes and wanted to try them out. XMT 1 has hardly any cut but on the 2 Hondas I've used it on, it has finished off nicely. I've so far found the XMT line to be beginner- and budget-friendly.

Just got a package yesterday with my supplies.

I have a black car that is garaged all the time with minumum

defects.

I bought XMT 360 to try on it, I'll be doing that next week.

Got the PC 2 days ago, I'm using LC white pads.

I found that XMT 360 has a lot of fillers so just be for warned.I like alot of the Autogeeks house brands but this whole XMT line has left me very flat compared to other brands in its price range or even a little less expensive.

Save your cash, get Megs 105 and 205. And - I did use the xmt line - back when I was just starting out.

Better off going for Megs UC and SwirlX (or 205).

They work better than XMT and cost less.

Not sure how the poster above thinks they're budget-friendly. I see them as over-priced. $16 for 12oz...ouch!

I think this requires more then just a statement.

The XMT is what i would descirbe as a range of mainly "weak" polishers. Not that they are bad at what they do, simply none of them cut very much.

I think they introduced XMT 4 which is meant for harder paints although i dont think its all that aggressive. I have not used XMT 4.

All XMT products are are 11 OZ bottles not 16 or 32's.

If you want to buy from PBMA/Autogeek why not get Wolfgang Polishes they are Menzerna based.
