Because so many of you have raved about Souveran, especially as a topper over polymers, I ordered some and received it the other day. The hood and trunk lid of my "anthracite" BMW were looking a little rtatty - just dirty rain drop remnants from the last two days' storms, so I decided to give it a try.
These surfaces have fairly recent Meguiar's Gold Class on them, which has been through a couple of washes. Even though it needs it, I really didn't have time or inclination to wash the car (more rain coming and I have a long drive tonight), so I just spot-cleaned these surfaces with plenty of detail spray and an ultimate wipe which I constantly rolled to keep the collected dirt away from the paint. Then I applied a thin coat of the Souveran with the foam pad it came with, and buffed it out almost immediately with a fresh ultimate wipe. (what a concept - no waiting! Great for us instant gratification junkies
)
<font color=red size=+2>Wow!</font> :bounce
First of all, that has to be the easiest to apply, easiest to buff out, quickest-between-application-and-buffing wax I've ever used. The results look really nice - it absolutely added some depth and "covered-in-glass" look. I can really see why you guys like this stuff, and I will most definitely be trying it on the whole car - I will continue to use the Gold Class first on the expectation that I will probably get better longevity out of the combination than out of the Souveran alone. (does that make sense?)
Can't wait to try it on the black Porsche!
