Pinnacle Souveran on Black Porsche

Hello,

I'm fairly new to this site and think it's great. There's a ton of information. Got a quick question......

I have a Black Porsche 996 that started out as a daily driver but has become more of a weekend car for me. Is Pinnacle Souveran enough to keep the black paint looking great or do I really need a base coat of Klasse or Blitz.

If kept in thew garage under cover then I would think any carnuba wax should last a few weeks or more.

If you desire added protection from the elements when you drive it and prefer the look of Carnuba why not then apply some Klasse SG and then top with your favorite Carnuba.

The car will definitely look deeper, wetter & shinier if you apply a coat of glaze (3M IHG, Omega Glaze) or a paint cleanser (like PPCL or P21S GEPC) or even Klasse AIO/SG prior to applying Souveran.

Should I wash the Car with Dawn first. That seems to be what people are recomending to get my Zymol wax off?

Then go with the Klasse and Souvern on top. The paint is in great shape only 1,500 miles on the car. I clayed it when i first got it.

Not if you plan to use Klasse AIO or anything else that contains cleaning agents.

Cableguy,

Although Souveran by itself will do a great job of shining up your paint, you will get better results by using it in conjunction with a pure polish (IHG, Meguiar's #7) or polish/cleaner (PPCL, P21S PCL) or polymer (Klasse, Blackfire).

People here are very divided as to whether or not AIO is required on new paint that's in very good condition. If you decide to go with Klasse, I would personally use AIO, followed by three to five coats of SG and then top it off with Souveran.

I believe carguy uses Meguiar's #9 2.0 (when necessary) followed by Meguiar's Gold Class followed by Pinnacle Souveran. Can't be sure though.

I've been Souvern-ized!!!!!

Just got my first jar of Pinnacle Souvern. You guys were right. This stuff is amazing. It is EFFORTless to put on and take off. I was amazed at the result on my Black Porsche. My car only has 1000 miles on it so I didn't use a polish. I'll get some pictures to post.
