Pinnacle Souveran: Any comments and is it really worth the price?

Price isn't really an issue at this moment because I already have some Souveran on the way. The thing is, is it really that awesome of a product?

I plan on using it on my Mustang which is not a daily driver and also on any other vehicles I detail that may want that special touch. But at 69.99 reg. price is it really worth it?

Any opinions or comments?

I've seen some awesome pictures with Souveran. I won't buy any because I have a white car. I detail other cars but I'm not going to bother with a $70 wax for a customer car. I can get a beautiful finish with good prep work, and top it with something else like UPP for a nice wet shine.

I think the consensus is that it offers a step up for dark finishes in comparsion to something like P21S. I wouldn't say it is a huge difference, but it is indeed a slight notch above.

i have both p21s and Souveran...for some reason i always grab the p21s...Souveran smells better..but grabs more dust im my garage..if you have black and like the deep look than Souveran is for you...other than that p21s is da BOMB

General Lee,

Here is a pic of Souveran on Jet Black. Any other questions.

Pinnacle Souveran: Any comments and is it really worth the price?

As crap an answer as I am about to give its the only one that really holds any weight. Try it and decide for yourself. Other people can post all the pretty pictures they want, but if you personally cant get great results then I'd have to say no it probably isnt worth the price. But only you can determine that....

AMP01-- My O' My that is nice.

Wingless-- I have S100 which alot of people say it and P21S are "basically" the same. Although I have never tried p21s, I have tried S100. I have no complaints about S100 but it doesn't blow me away.

My feeling on Pinnacle Souveran is that if your going to use it on your everyday ride then you will have to maintain on a regular basis. I used it on my show cars in the 90's along with Zymol Concours and enjoyed using both of these products. those were the days when I applied all these waxes by hand. they are great carnuba waxes that give awesome wet looking deep shines but they just do not hold up well to the elements. I will not spend that much for waxes on my everyday vehicles today. Might consider it for my garaged cars but I doubt it. you can spend far less on a wax or polymer sealant and get as good a result as Souveran. again as we always stress here and its the most important to me is the prep of the paint. If you prep the paint correctly most waxes and sealants used as LSP will look awesome. My favorite prep products are 3M. I just like the finish that the #3 MG and #3 finishing glaze provide. they work so well that your LSP is mostly for protection than anything. I have seen my days of paying $135 for Concours and $60 for Souveran. But most should try it for themselves just to see what some of these high end waxes are like. you just might be disappointed in their durability but the shine is awesome.

I been waxing with Souveran for years and I can not fine any wax that I like better. I get about 25 details from a jar, that is about $2.40 a detail and to me that is cheap for the results I get.

If you shop around you can find it on sale almost anytime, plus our discount, it's a great deal. I have used most of the top waxes and I always return to Souveran.

I tried Pinnacle Souveran for the first time a couple of months ago. I am not an expert, but my impression is that this is a significant improvement over P21S which, by the way, I love. My favorite combination to date is to apply Souveran right after AIO and skip the sealant. It has been about 8 weeks since I last applied and it is holding up well in this rainy Seattle weather outdoors. I finid it does not attract any more dust than any other product I have used.

I have used Souveran on darks and a lot on black. It does stand out, but does not hold up well. Do you want the look or durabilty? Or some of both? Your objective will tell you what product to use.

One can ease the pain of the $69.99 retail by purchasing in a kit or following the suggestion of bmax by buying on sale with a discount. I even customized my kit when buying, as I substituted for items that I did not want by adding what I needed. The cost was cheap.

Souveran is awesome on dark colors. It just gives a liquid look I can't truly duplicate with anything else. Durability isn't too bad either. 2-3 months of beading but appearance does begin to fall a bit around the 8 week mark. On the average sized car, you should be able to get 30-40 applications so cost per use really isn't that bad.

I don't get much durability out of it, but nothing looks quite as nice on the Jag's metallic gray lacquer. Tried P21s, went right back to Souveran.

My wife always liked it on Audi silver, so it's not *just* for dark colors.

As to the "worth it?", it is to me, and most people who need to "justify" its purchase will point out that one jar does a lot of wax jobs.

I get a more liquid look with Souveran than any wax I've tried. I gave away my S100 because, while it looks great on my car, it isn't nearly as good as when I have Souveran or the Klasse twins on my metallic sapphire blue paint. I must admit that I am a very big fan of S100 on silver, S100 just makes it pop like no other. It isn't too shabby on black either. But it is not as good as Souveran and, in my (psychologically tricked) eyes, the difference is worth the extra money. Plus, it's often on sale for $59.

I will also agree that the Souveran is well worth the price. The price doesnt matter if it makes "you" happy and in this case, "Im" overjoyed by this wax.

Souveran is very much worth the price. I has a liquid glossy look I have not seen with anything else.

It is the best wax for reds and blacks. The look on BMW paint is terrific as you have seen.

It's the product that turned me back to using carnauba. It's truly an outstanding look. I can't think of topping my black Audi with anything else now. :bow

Wow! Thanks for all the replies. From what everyone has said, I'm looking forward to trying it. From the few pics I have seen it definitely looks outstanding.

Durabiliity isn't a "Big" issue because it will be on my weekend cruiser. Mainly I want the head turning look and it sounds like it will do that. I planned on the AIO, topped w/ Souveran combo as soon as the weather cooperates.

Souveran would probably also work very well with Meguiars #80 since it leaves the paint real wet after polishing.

Good idea Scott, #80 is one of my favorite polishes. I may just go with 80 to rid any minor imperfections:up
