Pinnacle LS and Swirl Remover Labor Day

My L5-S1 is killing me!
Got a chance to try my $10 LS and swirl remover today on my wifes 2000 Focus. The color isn't the best for LS (not like black or red) but it turned out good.

Swirl Remover - there were only some light random swirls since I last Klasse'd in Spring (since I have been the *only* person to wash it :D). The swirl remover took care of them, it reminded me FPII. Left the paint squeaky and worked well but left a haze in places that only S&W could remove. Pretty good product, not sure it's worth the high retail price...It did not dust much which was good too.

LS - Since it is quite thin (similar to SG), I put it in an old Clay Magic lube bottle and sprayed and wiped with a foam applicator by hand. I really found this method to be really fast and worked great. I let is still 30 min before removal. LS is super slick, more than EX or EXP. Application and removal reminded me of VM. It left some light smears that a quick detailer took care of. All in all I really like LS (in my spray bottle :lol) and will probably buy again.

Pictures, enjoy (no before pics since the car looked "ok" before I started) ..............

aw-w-w-w, I was just havin' some fun.

I like to look, REALLY LOOK, at someone else's work & that's one way of learning.

wifehatescar does very nice work

I must be doing something wrong. I've tried the swirl remover on two cars now, and I thought there was quite a bit of dust. Am I overworking the product? Couple passes on 3 to spread it around, bump it up to 5 or 6 and move the PC slowly through the area horizonatlly and vertically making overlapping passes.

Or maybe it's a normal amount of dust and I'm overreacting? Not much experience w/ the PC yet...

You sprayed the LS on? That sounds awfully odd. Never heard of that technique.

I find the more aggressive the product, the more dust. Since this product is light, it does not dust much. You could either be using too much or working on a hot surface? Most polishes dust to some degree.

I used the LS like a quick spray wax. For example, shoot 1 spray on half the hood (approx 1' x2' area), then spread around. Do that all over the car the car, wait 30 min, then remove. The spray action helps to preliminarily spread the product so I do not have to smear it around with the foam applicator for as long to cover everything evenly.

her car is actually in better shape than mine (aside from the rock chips). We bought it new, my car was used and looks like it was washed with a brush. I'm not in a hurry so it'll be swirl free eventually too.
