Pinnacle Black Label Nissan Pathfinder

One of my oldest clients traded his black bimmer for a silver 2015 Nissan Pathfinder (24k miles). He usually calls once a year. Ended up booking for today. I offered him a slight discount since I was getting paid to not work today anyways.
(He ended up tipping to regular price, nice)

He opted for a one step polish and Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating (v2) + interior steam clean.

I told him I normally don`t pull this type of job same day so he dropped off at 10pm the night before.

I hit up the coin op and got the prep done and started polishing the next day after I enjoyed sleeping in until 930.

About 12 hours total invested (perhaps I take my time...I work 45 mins then 5-10 break, repeat)

wheels:
Brushes
Bdx
Hydro2lite

Fenders:megs apc 1:4 and brush
Hydro2lite
Touch up with hydro maxx later on wheels when I did the tires

Tires :scrubbed then bold n bright + carrand tire brush

Trim: bold n bright

Paint:
Bug mesh mf + bug squash 1:3
Iron x snow foam via kwazar foamer and mitts/sponges

Clayed with cobra clay mitt and uber as clay lube

Glass polished with pinnacle waterspot remover then nanoskin rain on glass, Poorboy`s glass on inside

Paint:
Duetto- adapt + rupes uhs pad
Nano- adapt + flex green 2inch pad (all lights and painted black window areas too)

Pinnacle Black Label Prep-via hand applicator (buff n shine knotched lsp)
Pinnacle Black Label Paint Coating v2 via lc coating applicator (used 2)

then did the interior-(no pics)
He had the rubber mats all through so I sprayed them down then Spray and Wipe on them
Steam, megs interior d whatever, brushes, towels
Vacuumed with various brushes
Seats-optimum carpet cleaner+protectant with tampico brush
He chose Poorboy`s Green Apple scent (I have all the scents, I enjoy giving the customer the choice when the drop off)

The hood...

not perfect but good

Doors

Applied pbl prep polish then v2 paint coating

Garage shots-

6pm sun shots (about 3 hours after coating)

Pbl v2 is super easy to use. I went with about double the amount I thought would be sufficient and the working time was long enough to do an entire door at once.

Yet againt Poorboy`s DMT and UMT made my job so much easier.

Reveal went well again.

his seats were some type of cheap suede like material--total PITA to clean...ended up having to lint roll them (the failsafe!)

How did you like adapt on the UHS pads?

Looks great, the seats in my GFs Sentra have that suede type fabric as well, lint and hair love to grab on to them pretty well.

Pet stone delicately seemed risky on the test armrest so i opted out...
Small tampico brush worked ok. Then i had to lint roll several times...then tampico brush again and optimum carpet clean+protect
Still, i could have been more satisfied

If it wasnt for having all the adapt I do, (thanks Ray) I would have probably never figured it out...but IMO and to my eyes and under my lights, I find that adapt + uhs on my duetto finishes better than uhs + uhs on my duetto. the cut is almost identical also. And most importantly, I find adapt spits less than uhs compound and is much easier to wipe off. Thats very important to me.

I had to reread your thread again on a PC instead of my phone. It came out great.

It`s so easy to use...hell, I have a shelf full of waxes that aren`t as easy to use, lol

My first polisher was a rupes duetto
First coating pbl (v1)

Both are idiot proof, lol

Do you have a pet brush with rubber bristles to give it a try? Thankfully my seats aren`t trashed because they get a good vacuum every few weeks but usually if I encounter stubborn debris i will grab one of those Mothers little detail brushes that look like tooth brushes(same bristle material as that fender well brush you got, but a bit softer) and do quick short swipes while holding the vacuum next to it to pick up whatever comes loose as I go.

I didn`t think I was going to use them much, but I still got them cause they were so cheap, and now I find them to be a great addition to my "interior kit". They are great for getting dirt in between seat seams .

Toyota carpeting is also another product from H-ll that grabs onto everything and refuses to release it...

Here again, my favorite all-time brush for getting into those little places or getting deep with the small, short bristle end into seams, etc., and getting gunk out ---
SM Arnold Dual Purpose Toothbrush-Style Detail Brush

I always buy a dozen of them and they always get me out of jams...

The 2 vent brushes at the bottom of that page are also very good for getting all that white, lame-o, wax that someone slobbered all over the car and embedded it into the seams of the clear-bra, etc...

Thanks Dan. I will look further into that site. Always into trying new tools. I have the mothers small brushes (look kind of like toothbrushes) and plan on trying them out on a minivan interior today.
