Pine tree sap

I'm retired so I'm able to help a friend at a body shop. His dentist brought in his black 98 Benz S500. A truly beautiful car ... with about 400 globs of tree sap on it. No - that's not the problem. He used his fingernail to scrapr each and every glob off!! Yeah - ouch. I wet sanded the whole car with 2500, then used his Dewalt rotary with Menzerna S34A Powergloss. Then I used my flex (awesome machine!) with Menzerna PO87MC Micro-polish. After a little Meguiar's yellow wax - NEW CAR!! The owner was pleased to say the least. And I'm a relative newbie. Just passing the story FYI. BTW ... after detailing it inside/out, the owner picked it up on a snowy/slushy day. ARGHH!!:passout:

Nice story to share. Glad to hear that it worked. also good to hear good comments on the Flex.

It would have been nice to have pictures.....:dnaughty

Yah - I forgot about shooting b4 and after ... next time. In the mean time, don't park your ride under a pine tree; and IF you do, don't use your fingernail to scrape off!!! I really believe that 95% of people DO NOT know how to take care of clear coat paint.
