About how long will pine sap remain sticky before it hardens up?

it really depends on how much sap. There are tiny specs that will stay "sappy" for just a few minutes. Then there are larger drops that have the outside harden and leave the inside sappy for a while. Still, get it off asap

Sap can wreak havoc on your finish . . . don’t wait for it to harden and remove as soon as possible.

If it does harder, park your car in the sun to get the temperature up and then wipe off with an MF and QD spray.
