Hey all,
First off, I would like to say thank you for the help with the few questions I asked these last few days. I went over yesterday and Detailed my sisters 1999 Dodge Ram. The weather wasn't what I was expecting, but the results are pretty dang good for what I had to work with. Sorrya bout horrible backdrops. We never finished relandscaping the yard, thusly weeds took over this last fall/summer :hurl Along w/ the new development construction right across from her, not the best backdrops, but at least the truck is visible :lol
I guess I should post what I used, too :lol
Started off w/ a wash w/ Dawn dishwashing soap, degreaser on the wheels
Mothers Clay Bar Kit, used the Detail Spray half the truck, other half soap and water
Quick rinse w/ Car Was shampoo
Two Coats of "Z Best Wax" using a Turtle Wax Orbital buffer
Black Magic Tire/Trim Gel, applied using an applicator on the tires and trim.
Not the biggest detail, but I was lucky enough that there were no swirl marks, few scratches (most rubbed out, yay!), and the tires scrubbed clean fairly easy. In the enar future I will probably clay it again and wax it, just due to poor conditions this time. Still, I'm very happy with the results.
