Brass disconnects from Rockys $15

I'd remove the pistol grip from the foamgun and put one of the brass quick disconnects with the shutoff lever in its place ;) Then I'd put the femal quick disconnect from the pistol grip on the sillcock/spigot (in place of the one with the shutoff lever) and just turn the water on/off with the sillcock. Maybe it's just me, but I greatly prefer using a shutoff compared to the pistol grip.

Other than that, :xyxthumbs Brass quick disconnects are the way to go! Make things a lot easier, huh?

Already tried pushing the brass on the right back it still doesnt fit seems the other piece is just a tiny tiny bit to big

hmmm.... i'm guessing the one you have and the one coupe used in his thread, are both just a tad bit different though they look to be the same...

I set mine up like that the day that I got it.

evenflow- Sorry, I still haven't gotten into the digital imaging thing....glad that BigAl3 was able to post something.

It sounds like there's a slight incompatibility between the quick disconnect that came on the foamgun and the ones in your set. The way I'd work around it is to take the female quick disconnect off the end of the pistol grip and use *that* with a separate shutoff (screw the female disconnect from the foamgun onto the end of the shutoff).

Yeah, that means another trip to the store and a few more dollars :(

Interesting that they aren't compatible. I have a scad of different brass quick disconnects, and only a few of them have issues, most of them fit together fine. But yeah, it only takes a slight variation and then they just won't work.

I have that exact setup too from ACE but found their diameter too small and switched to DRAMM products. Also, the ones from ACE are not universal so I couldn’t mix and match with my ones from DRAMM and Nelson. That’s why I no longer use the ACE setup. That seems to be an issue here too with what's been written.

Here is my thread about my quick connect attachment with the foam gun and other wash tools (which appear later in the thread). Like Accumulator I ditched the pistol grip a long time ago:

Here is my review of the best shut off valve I’ve used that is attached to my quick connect setup:

quick connects are great you can also look at DRAMM.COM I have been useing theres for a couple years and works great.

Lowes has recieved new quick disconects that have a self shut off sleeve in them now!!

At first I was recluctant to buy them but i found that its workign to my advantage now i can put the foam gun on/off without any water spurting out with the hose on!!

I put the qd connect on the end of the hose so even when i takeoff the pistol grip NO water comes out!! it works pretty well!!:up
