pics for flyers...printing, developing

I'm thinking of handing out a card w a picture of a finished car on the front. I don't have a color printer, so Kinko's would be my printing option. I thought about getting my digicam pics developed, but the 3x5 is too big for a small card.

Do the pics from a Kinko/print shop color printer show your awesome detailing skills? Is it possible to develop digipics onto a wallet-sized photo?

As a former employee for a print shop, I can tell you that nagchampa is correct in saying that photo cards are going to be expensive. First of all, the stock has to be a special type (Mostly glossy, probably resin coated). Second, in order to print a full color item, the printer has to make 4 passes through the press (1 pass cyan, 1 pass magenta, 1 pass yellow, 1 pass black) and vary the inks according to the picture. Plus, most print shops, Kinko's included, may send the cards out to another firm to print them.

You can try something like Vistaprint (www.vistaprint.com) to see if you can get it cheaper than Kinko's. Another question I present to you is whether or not you are going to present camera ready art or have the printer create something from scratch. If the latter, prepare to pay even more $$$ for design and typesetting fees.

I used that one on my flyers and cards. Now its become a company logo. :)

I'm printing out only ~20 of these things, so I'm thinking of just getting a bunch of 3x5 pics on a card...I'm doing the design and typesetting myself (it's a secret :D).

I was thinking of using this pic. My only reservation is the sun looks kind of strange:
