Photo Biz Cards

I have had this idea for some time now about business cards and figures I would share it with the rest of you.

I am always tinkering with new ideas for my business cards as generally people just tend to quickly glance at a business card when theyget one and then they either toss it or put it in their purse/wallet to never see day light again! Well I thought it would be cool to make custom photo business cards for each of my clients using THEIR car:eek:

In other words if a client has a BMW M5 I would take a few pictures of it, as always, then pick one that's really nice, edit it in Photoshop or other photo editor and print it on business card stock from my inkjet, about 20 cards, then hand them to the cars owner and have him or her hand them out to people.

The scenario would go like this: Your client is asked by a co-worker or friend, "Who does your detailing? Your car always looks great!" Your client then says, "This guy (gal or company)" and hands them your card with a picture of HIS car on it! I am thinking this would make the client feel kinda special and perhaps be more inclined to share the cards with other potential clients, whadda all think?

I already have a few created but have not handed them out as of yet. I'll let you all know if the idea takes off:xyxthumbs or just bombs:(

Sounds like a real good idea! Wouldn't be the cheapest card, but if it generates business.....

BTW, it would be a real good card to put in the owner's manual so when the car is sold, they know who to call.

Anthony,

I agree with auto care, that is a great and very unique idea! You should go for it! I think it will work out very well.

Great idea Anthony. I bet you find a lot of car owners will be proud to show a picture of their car in business meetings.

Great networking idea. Also great idea on the owner's manual.

I use the same idea. I even think you can find a post about it somewhere on autopia.

I take a picture once i am done detailing and then input the car onto a business card. I use a program called print shop. It cost me around $40.00 and works perfect for what i need it for.

I then go to staples and buy the glossy business cards and mail it

to the customer with a thank you.

To be honest though, this was not even my idea, I got it from another autopian, BOP2300.

Hey, what can I say....GREAT minds think alike:xyxthumbs :D

First client I have used this with really likes the idea and I am hoping this encourages him to hand them out:up

Only drawback would be that if his car is filthy dirty when he hands them out:D

This thread has made my day! Individualized? The Owner's Manual?

Truly Briliant.

I gotta find time for this... Time is the problem...

I agree with Jimamary that this is an awesome idea!! I'm always coming up with marketing tactics and this one really caught my attention!

Good idea Anthony!!:bow

One thing i forgot to mention is that i use them on the magnet cards. I go to staples and buy the magnets and stick there card on it. So every time the open the refrig they see the car nice and clean and gives them a reminder.

what would be nice is if you can print out in 3D. That would make for an awesome before & after shot.

Again, great idea!!!!!!

I make them up for every new client.

I was thinking of updating this thread the other day because I had another brainstorm....a variation of this idea is to use a picture card to convince potential clients they should use your services.

So for example, lets say you detailed a black BMW and you place the finished product on a business card and while out and about you spot a neglected black BMW, you would then take your "finished" BMW card and place it on their car.

Have some text on their briefly explaining how you can "makeover" their car (makeovers are the rage right now so use that theme) like you did the one in the picture.

I am going to try this as soon as I get a chance to run off more cards.

Adios,

Anthony
