Pet Hair

A lady called today wanting the interior of her Jeep detailed. She informed me that there is a good bit of pet hair. My question is what is the most effective/efficient way to remove the hair. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I use a lint brush those sticky ones that come in a roll. Also you can use duck tape turned sticky side down.
For my shop vac I have a brush attachment for it and that seems to loosen up a lot of the hair.

Good luck pet hair can be a real hassle not hard just takes time to get out.

I've never had to get rid of pet hair in a car, but what works great around the house (and should for a car's interior) is one of those rubber dishwashing gloves (usually yellow). It's amazing, you put the glove on and rub whatever has the hair on and it comes right off. I find it works great and you can use the glove over and over again, unlike a lint brush

a damp vinyl glove works really well. Bring it into a pile and vacuum up. I think it works better than a lint roller.

Something else that works well that I discovered was a dry microfiber towel. At least it worked well in this Dodge truck that I always got stuck detailing right after he took his dog to the groomer....

Top of the Line sells some specific hair remover tools that work very well.If you don't want to spend any money, then you already have several very good suggestions.

I had great success with a dollar store wisk broom. It takes pet hair, dirt, crumbs, and whatever else is in the carpet out, and the plastic ones don't remove any pile from the carpetting. I'd pick one up if I were you, if it doesn't work there are always home uses for it.

I would have to agree with the rubber dishwashing gloves. Roll the dander out of the area and suck it up with your vac. Does an excellent job.

I have gotten pretty good results with a combination of my slightly stiff bristled brush and a dry Eurow (Costco) MF. After vacuuming, if there is anything still sticking out I roll duct tape around my four fingers and make my own lint brush.

Try some anti-static spray from the store. Most hair is statically charged to the fiber and spraying the anti-static spray will eliminate the charge and allow for easy vacuuming. If it is looped fabric, the hair removal brush from Top of The Line works fantastic.
