Perfecar "The Show Winner"?

Its supposed to be on par and better than the Chemical Guys 50/50 limited edition wax

I thought Ben from Perfecar said they're the same exact formula. Is he still a sponsor here?

THanks guys. I might be trying out this stuff sometime in the future, and compare it with my friend's 5050. On the perfecar site, the picture is a plastic tub, but on that thread Eliot Ness linked, Benvegas said it comes in a tin. I'm guessing many perfecar products come in different packages other than the ones pictured on the site.

We've discontinued The Show Winner

As for sponsorship, yep we should still be listed as a sponsor here.

THanks Benvegas for the info. I ordered the "Dream" beta wax maybe two weeks ago. So "Pure" is also another beta as well? I didn't see that on the Perfecar site. Any info on these waxes will be greatly appreciated :)

I think dream wax and pure wax are the same...but i could be wrong. IIRC Dream Wax beta's contain something like 50+% pure wax.

Dream Wax was the original name for the beta, it's been changed to Pure by the powers that be. It's "Pure" in the sense that it's quite frankly a very pure wax, roughly half of it being Carnauba and the rest using the best available ingredients. The beta is on its 47th batch right now, and was on hold for about 2 weeks while we ordered new cooling equipment that magically arrived tuesday morning (We burned through almost 15 revisions toying with cooling). One or two more public betas and then one gamma release and the wax will be ready for public use. If you ordered *any* beta wax right now, it's of Pure despite any references to the Dream Wax.

As for the Dream Wax name, it's going to be likely used for our exotic wax -- aka a competitor to the Zymol brand at a spendid fraction of the cost. That will still take time to develop as the oils are extremely hard to find -- we've sourced about half of them we think we might use and are actively searching for the remaining oils.

Today was somewhat an amusing day with the new equipment, I oopsied on the formula and ended up making a jelly textured liquid wax. Oddly, it worked so well we might take the oopsied formula and develop that a little more. The application for it might end up being a show-day only shine, as the formula contained so much of a glossing agent the first time it rains it'll be in the storm drains. What's even better is it was very inexpensive to make and probably cost the end-consumer $1.50 per application. If only I had a ketchup packet filler I could put them in half ounce packets. :)

Klumzypinoy, Pinnacle claim 33% carnauba by volume.

benvegas, can you explain what you mean by the oils are extremely hard to find? Are you talking about the same oils that Zymol uses in it's wax formulas?

When I reference that oils are hard to find, I am referencing the types of oils that are first suitable to use in a wax, and secondarily available to purchase in quantity. The oils Zymol uses is a great start, I believe this can be supplemented with additional oils to make an even better product. If you want little 1-2oz amounts of any specific oil you can buy most of them at cosmetics store. Finding them in 55 gallon drums has proven to be the real challenge.

Ben is the other new beta wax that is competing with Zymol also going to compete with Swissol?? Since both Swissol and Zymol are high end exotic waxes.

Ben how would you say the new wax will compare to something like Souveran, CG5050, Victora etc? Think I asked you before but don't remember lol.
