PDR an option if there is a small chip?

I have a small dent in my car where my old neighbor opened their door into my car. The lower corner of his suv's rear door hit my front fender. :wall He denied doing it so I was unable to get him to pay for it and it should cost less than my deductible so I haven't gotten it fixed yet.

The metal is deformed and I've seen dents like this taken out with PDR, but there is a small chip in the middle. Only primer is exposed. Can I get this PDRed if the paint is chipped or is that not an option anymore? I figured I could have a guy fix it then do the touchup myself.

Thanks in advance.

Don't quote me on this, but I think PDR may still be an option. I've seen a lot of commercial paint touch-up kits that say they're a great add-on for PDR techs, so that a customer could have one person do both fixes.

Again, I'm not totally sure, but I think it's still possible.

Oh yeah...a chip in the paint won't affect PDR at all.

My PDR guy approaches the dent's from the insides of panels...meaning, he needs to be able to access the inside of the panels....a chip on the outside won't affect this.
