PC'ing Your Windshield ??

Is using the Porter Cable and a polishing or (light) cutting pad good after a winter of dirt, salt, grime, etc?

If so, what pad type would you use (I have the Edge and Sonus) and what stuff would you use with it -- PB PP, SR-1, AIO ?

Thanks.

I clay first, then polish using VM/Lucas Polish with a terry bonnet on the PC. After wiping off the residue you have a nice, squeaky clean, streak free window.

For my 2004 Honda, I am thinking AIO by hand or PB PP by hand or PC. Embedded dirt is minimal I figure since the car is less than a year old.

For mom's 1994 Camry, I was thinking definitely PC with PB PP or even SSR-1.

Anybody know if Poorboy recommends using SSR-1 on glass with a PC? Since I'm using a stronger abrasive, I'd go with a less-abrasive pad than normal.

I often use a PC on my windshield. I use a polishing pad with a light polish. Generally, I will use whatever finishing polish I am using on the paint. Poorboy's Pro Polish, SSR1, and Clearkote Vanilla Moose would be my main "go to" products for this task.
