PC&Zaino

Are you guys using it to apply the zaino? Just wondering. I have done it both ways once by hand and the next by PC and didn't notice a huge difference in the end product other than time saved.

If I already have the PC out, I"ll just use it - its quicker within that context. Otherwise it goes on by hand. If I'm layering it, then I'll only do it by hand after the first layer.

I find the EXACT opposite.

You use less by machine? Do you have to go back by hand and hit tighter areas? i.e. bottom of mirrors, door handles, underside of side skirts, trim, grill, etc.

I always have to go back by hand when using a machine, and find I use alot more product. 1/4 ounce = 3-4 coats on a mid size sedan or smaller by hand. I have a hard time getting 2 coats when using a machine on a similar sized car with 1/4 oz.

It takes a little more initially to prime the pad but after that I find I use about the same. I just get better thinner more even coats with the UDM

I always apply by hand. For me, I can apply so quick and thin by hand, that using a pc takes longer.

Ditto!!

Nevertheless, both methods work equally well in achieving the end-point of thin even application(s).:waxing:

I keep torchering (sp) myself with looking at all these detailing threads. Water restrictions stink. Please rain.
