Im thinking about getting a polisher, I assuming a Porter Cable 7424 would be the best choice. What about the pads, what kind would be the best to start out with. They look fairly expensive, how long do they last.

To me pads arent really all that expensive...ranging from 7.50-13.00ish. If you take proper care of them theres no telling how they will last. Months upon months...possibly years depending on the care and how much you actually use them.



As far as the PC, go to Lowes pick up a Porter Cable 7336...essentially the same at the 7424 but a lot cheaper.
