I plan on buying a PC 7424 or 7336 within the next month or so. I have read the threads on this subject, but I have a question about the combination of backing plates and pads. Should I go with the 5" or 6" backing plate? I know that 6.5" pads will fit on a 5" backing plate, but will it fit OK on the 6" backing plate? Or is this not recommended? I notice that some of the kits come with 6" plate and was wondering if only larger pads >7" should be used. I plan on using the 6 counterweight. Thanks for the suggestions.
